Misfirings
Being punctually late, lets us see the first ferry just cruise in front of our eyes and makes us thinks what lies ahead if our first day comes this way. But this let us see the most beautiful scenes of and from the Gateway.

Mandwa To Alibaug |
The great adventure began at 4:30 am when we took our bicyles on trains and reached CST. After missing out on the first one, we caught the next 7:15 ferry and after an hour sail reached Mandwa.
Mandwa to Alibag is pretty a much flat and an enjoyable bump free ride passing through small villages and beautiful hamlets which has atleast one bicycle repair shop. This proved helpful in our case with our first hiccup being within 10 kms of riding.

Kashid which has one of the most beautiful white sand beach looms just after a small but exacting ascent. The road ahead upto Murud is pretty scenic and shaded by the surrounding trees which served well.
Murud is a quite village with muslim community looking prevalent, endorsing beautiful market hanging ripe yellow bananas with the street lined up by colorful shops and ghoda-gadis at the crossroads.
